On the first day of your 5-day Morocco itinerary, one of our professional drivers will welcome you at Mohamed V International Airport in Casablanca. From there, you’ll head to the city center to visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest and most stunning mosques in the world.
After exploring Casablanca, we continue to Fes, making a stop in Rabat, Morocco’s capital city. Here, you’ll visit some of its most iconic landmarks, starting with the Kasbah of the Udayas, a UNESCO World Heritage site offering breathtaking views of the city and the Bouregreg River. Next, explore the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, both significant symbols of Moroccan history and architecture.
From Rabat, we continue our journey to Fes, one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities, where you’ll be spending an unforgettable night.
Say goodbye to Fes as we head toward the vast Sahara Desert of Merzouga. Our first stop is Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland” for its alpine-style architecture and clean streets. After a short break, we continue to the Cedar Forest, where you can see Barbary macaques and even feed them if you’d like.
From there, we pass through Midelt and stop in Zaida for a barbecue lunch before driving along the scenic Ziz Valley, with its breathtaking panoramic views.
By late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, where camels will be waiting to take you into the dunes. As the sun sets over the golden sands, take a moment to soak in the silence and beauty of the desert. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Berber dinner at the camp before spending the night under a sky full of stars.
After breakfast, we set off to explore the fascinating surroundings of Merzouga. Our first stop is a visit to the nomadic families who live beyond the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy a cup of traditional tea inside their handwoven tent while learning about their unique way of life. Next, we head to Mefiss, an area known for its mines dating back to the French colonial era. Take a walk around and see firsthand how locals extract eyeliner from deep underground—an ancient practice still in use today.
We then continue to Khamlia, a village known for its rich cultural heritage brought by families who migrated from Mali and Senegal. Here, you’ll experience the hypnotic rhythms of traditional Gnawa music, performed by local musicians. For lunch, we stop at a local restaurant to try the famous Berber pizza, a must-try dish in the region. By late afternoon, we transfer you to the hotel, where you can relax and enjoy the rest of the day by the swimming pool.
Today, we say goodbye to the Sahara Desert after an unforgettable experience. After breakfast, take a last walk on the small dunes in front of your hotel before we hit the road toward Boumalne Dades. Our first stop is Rissani, a historic town that was once the capital of the Tafilalt region and the birthplace of Morocco’s ruling dynasty. We’ll visit its lively market, where locals sell everything from spices to handmade goods. Next, we head to Todgha Gorge, one of Morocco’s most stunning natural sights. Walk along the river and admire the towering cliffs that rise up to 300 meters. After soaking in the beauty of the canyon, we continue to Dades, where we’ll spend the night.
Today, after breakfast, we take a short visit to the beautiful Dades Gorge, nestled between the towering mountains and the stunning curves of Tissadrin. After a few minutes to enjoy the scenery, we’ll leave Boumalne Dades and head to Kalaat M’Gouna, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Rose Valley. While here, feel free to visit one of the local women’s cooperatives and see how they work to support themselves and fight unemployment. Next, we continue our journey to Marrakech, passing through Ouarzazate, also known as the “Hollywood of Africa” and the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Don’t forget to snap some memorable photos in front of the Taourirt Kasbah before we head to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah.
Once we arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, take your time to explore every corner and room of this incredible fortified landmark, which has stood for centuries. Wander through the narrow streets and mud-brick buildings of this historic ksar, which has been featured in many famous films, including The Mummy, Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and more.
Afterward, we leave the Kasbah and head toward Marrakech, passing through the scenic Tizi N’Tichka Pass, which connects Marrakech and Ouarzazate. Prepare to be amazed by the stunning panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains. In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Marrakech and transfer you directly to your accommodation. This marks the end of your 5-day Morocco tour.
